Ranchi, Aug 29: Union Minister and former Jharkhand CM Arjun Munda on Monday demanded the Hemant Soren government to form a Special Task Force (STF) to investigate the murder case of Dumka girl Ankita Kumari Singh (17) who was set ablaze by stocker Shahrukh Hussian.
Arjun Munda said that the STF must ensure that the chargesheet is filed in time and that accused Shahrukh Hussian is punished.
“I demand that the State Government to constitute a Special Task Force that will file chargesheet on time and judgement comes on time so that people trust the law and that there will be justice. State Govt will have to ensure it,” ANI quoted him saying.
Taking a dig at Hemant Soren-led UPA government in Jharkhand Arjun Munda said that responsibility must be fixed for the such a heinous crime.

“Who’s responsible for such incidents? Were appropriate measures taken to save the victim? How will the accused be punished? The state government should respond. To maintain people’s trust they should issue a statement,” he added.
Meanwhile, in the Ankita murder case, CM Hemant Soren has announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the family of the victim. Along with this, the investigation report has been sought from the DGP Neeraj Sinha soon. The CM has also directed the matter to be heard in the fast-track court. The DGP has also been directed to give an early report on the progress of the investigation by an SP rank officer.
