Ranchi, April 20: Union Minister of state for education and external affairs R.K.Ranjan Singh today reiterated his commitment to making the best knowledge society in India and following the old Indian philosophy of ‘Vashudhaiv Kutumbakam’.
Singh, who was on a two-day visit to Jharkhand, was talking to the media at the BJP state headquarters during his first Jharkhand visit.
“Let them think in a different way. We see the whole world as our family,” Singh said replying to a query taking China’s external policy of supporting neighbouring countries of India, including Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka keeping a strategy against India in mind.
Earlier, Singh talked about world peace and strong relationship with neighbouring countries saying in order to establish a people to people link the country has planned to give scholarship to 1000 students to the students of South East Asia to ensure that they come and study in India.
Singh said that India is also working in the direction of signing MoU with world class educational institutions to get a world class education in the country to reach the goal of making the ‘best knowledge society.’
Sharing information regarding his Jharkhand visit, he said the purpose of the visit is to monitor the schemes and take first hand information regarding the work going to take the benefit of development to last man of the society by ensuring ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.’
He said, during his meeting today with the district authorities in Ranchi, he came to know that the dropout rate from class I to VI is high and asked them to study the reason behind this to ensure how it can be reduced. He said he will have a virtual meeting with the authorities of Singhbhum also on different issues related to development.
