UP: Bus overturns at Agra-Lucknow Expressway, 30 people injured

Itawah, June 22: On the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Etawah, a bus carrying labourers that was travelling from Shravasti to Gujarat overturned on Thursday morning.

The accident occurred under Police Station Chaubia area in the Etawah district, close to the 113-kilometre milestone of the Agra Lucknow Expressway.

The accident is said to have injured more than two dozen labourers.

“The bus was going from Shravasti to Gujarat, in which 80 labourers were aboard. In these, 30 labourers were injured. They have been admitted to Saifai Medical College. No one is seriously hurt. The accident happened because the driver fell asleep,” Circle Officer Saifai Nagendra Kumar Choubey informed.

All of the injured have been sent to Saifai Medical College for treatment, where they are all receiving treatment.

The police arrived at the scene as soon as they had gotten information about this incident and began their investigation.
