UP polls: Yogi Adityanath files nomination from Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur, Feb 4: Accompanied by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Friday filed nomination papers as a BJP candidate from Gorakhpur Urban Assembly constituency.

Yogi Adityanath, a five-time former Lok Sabha member, is running for the first time in state assembly elections. Yogi Adityanath was already announced as the party’s CM face by Amit Shah.

Notably, Gorakhpur in eastern Uttar Pradesh is Yogi Adityanath’s stronghold, and from here he has won every parliamentary election he has contested.
