Texas, May 25: An 18-year-old gunman opened fire at an elementary school in Texas, killing 19 kids and two teachers. He also murdered his grandma. The shooter was shot and killed by police officers shortly after the incident.
The incident horrified the country and the rest of the globe, reigniting the debate over gun control in the United States.
Tuesday’s mass shooting is the most recent in a string of recent instances, occurring only days after a shooter opened fire on bystanders in a Chicago neighbourhood, killing two people.
