VBU Hazaribag to host three-day youth festival from Dec 2

Hazaribag, Nov 7: Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) Vice Chancellor Dr Mukul Narayan Deo while addressing a meeting of the PG art and culture board in Aryabhatta auditorium today announced to organise a three-day inter-college youth festival starting from Dec 2. Deo said this festival will provide a platform for VBU students to brush their talents.

Deo said students of VBU are not only good in studies but also in extracurricular activities as well. They are talented and only needed encouragement and brushing up of their skills. The VC asked principals of different colleges to take a personal interest in identifying such talented students in their institution to provide them with opportunities so that they can shine not only at the state level but national level as well. He said the youth festival will start on Dec 2 and will end on Dec 4. He said the interested teams should get themselves registered by Nov 20.

Deo passed several instructions to board members to ensure organising the youth festival was hassle-free.

Presenting the 2019 annual report, Dean of Student Welfare, Ambar Khatoon said students of VBU had performed well in last year’s different programs bringing laurels for VBU.

Those present in the meeting were Johny Rufina Tirkey, Dr Sarita Singh, Dr Vimal Mishra, Dr Indrajeet Kumar, Dr Suklayan Moitra, Dr Binod Ranjan and others.
