Hazaribag, July 25: A meeting of the Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) officials, faculty deans and department heads was organised today in the Vice Chancellor auditorium. The meeting on academic matters was presided over by Prof (Dr) Mithilesh Kumar Singh, Dean, Faculty of Humanities. In the meeting, the speakers exchanged their views. All said that either the acting Vice Chancellor should be freed from the routine work by the Raj Bhavan so that she could dispose of important files or else a regular vice-chancellor should be appointed so that the university continues to move forward on the path of progress.
Concern was raised that the university has to be evaluated by NAAC in the coming month and so many types of preparations are still pending for this. The preparations pending included organising regular meetings of various committees of the university, renovation work of various buildings, execution of pending works related to PhD research, publication of final exam result of DEET 2022 after the interview, allocation of amount for annual sports and many such works.
Dr Kaushalendra Kumar, Registrar of the university, informed in the meeting that the Chancellor’s special officer (Secretary) Dr Sanjeev Rai, who also holds the post of inspector of Universities, is coming to Vinoba Bhave University on July 26. Dr Rai will discuss with the teachers here on the subject related to improvement in the university. The Registrar informed that all the preparations related to this have been done.
