Ranchi, April 8: A delegation of Vishwa Hindu Parishad today met DGP Neeraj Sinha demanding proper action against those attacking religious processions organised by Hindus across the state.
Presenting examples of attacks on Hindu saint near a religious structure of a particular community on April 2 at Mandro in Mandar and then attack on procession in Khunti and Ranchi on April 5 at place dominated by residents of a particular community, the delegation asked DGP Sinha to take proper initiative to put a check on rising morale of trouble makers.
The delegation said that anti-social people ensured pelting of stones from the rooftop of houses on the religious procession of Hindus and thus it will be in the interest of security to ensure proper search of the houses and religious places in sensitive localities and drone surveillance besides deputation of force at strategic locations.
The delegation included top office bearers of the state– Birendra Sinha Vimal, Ganga Prasad Yadav, Rangnath Mahto, Rajendra Krishna, Kailash Kumar Keshri, Chandradeep Dubey and Amar Prasad.
