Mamata Banerjee also announced that on March 3, she will travel to Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary seat.
The SP head also took aim at the BJP, claiming that the party had deployed all of its resources in West Bengal but had failed to beat the Trinamool Congress led by Mamata Banerjee.
He also poked fun at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for cancelling his physical rally in the state on Monday due to “inclement weather.”
“The BJP deployed its entire strength in West Bengal but they could not defeat Didi. She has come to Lucknow from Kolkata but those from BJP couldn’t come to UP from Delhi stating ‘bad weather’. BJP’s plane of lies won’t be able to land in UP this time,” said Akhilesh Yadav.
Notably, Banerjee reached Lucknow on Monday to extend her support to Samajwadi Party in the upcoming elections in the state.
