Dhanbad, Nov 26: Three family members including the mother of Wasseypur’s gangster, Prince Khan, were sent to judicial custody on Friday in connection to murder of property dealer Aftab Alam alias Nanhey Khan.  However, the self-proclaimed accused, Prince Khan, is absconding.

The police produced them in the court of chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Sanjay Kumar Singh who sent them in judicial custody. Wife of Prince Khan was, however, released by the court but the other three were sent to jail.

On the basis of  Pince Khan’s claim through a video that appeared on social media  just after killing of Nanhey Khan on Tuesday, the police raided his house in Wasseypur and recovered six ‘sutli’ bombs (hand grenades), two pistols and four luxury cars.

After the recovery of arms and ammunition, police arrested Prince Khan’s mother, wife and two other persons identified as Brajesh Kumar Sharma and Md. Aman. They were taken for their medical test at the Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) Dhanbad. After tests, they were produced in the court of CJM.

Property dealer Nanhey Khan was shot dead in Wasseypur on Tuesday’s late afternoon. He was considered close to notorious gangster Fahim Khan who is presently lodged in Hazaribagh Central Jail facing a life term. His arch-rival Prince Khan, who allegedly runs a parallel gang, claimed to have gotten Nanhey Khan murdered in revenge.
