Deoghar, April 22: A teacher from a private school in Madhapur’s Pasia has been arrested by West Bengal police. A squad from the Namkon police station in West Bengal’s 24 Pargana district arrived in Deoghar yesterday and raided the school with the support of local cops.
The arrested has been identified as Somnath Mandal, a resident of Devnagar in the 24 Pargana district.
According to West Bengal police, the accused teacher had been on their radar for some time because a big number of job seekers had filed a complaint against him for allegedly collecting lakhs of rupees from them in order to secure a job.
Finally, with the cooperation of local Madhupur police, the West Bengal police were able to apprehend Somnath Mandal. According to reports, West Bengal police arrived in Madhupur yesterday after conducting a mobile location tracing.
Somnath Mandal and his wife have been living in a leased property in Madhupur for the past eight months. The West Bengal police obtained a court-ordered transit remand and took him into custody today.
