Patna, Aug 24: Rabri Devi, former chief minister of Bihar and a leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday in response to the CBI raid at the homes of RJD officials in relation to the ‘land for jobs’ scandal.

“They (BJP) are scared as a new government has been formed under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. All parties are with us except BJP. We have the majority here in the state and we will not be scared, because this is not the first time that is happening,” she said.

Notably, the properties connected to three MPs Ashfaque Karim, Faiyaz Ahmed, and Subodh Roy as well as RJD MLC Sunil Singh were the targets of CBI raids.

The newly formed Bihar administration is up for a trust vote on the Vidhan Sabha floor that day, therefore the RJD has questioned the timing of the raids. The raids, according to RJD MP Manoj Jha, were carried out on purpose to scare the party’s lawmakers.
