New Delhi, Oct 25: The WhatsApp services are back online after a significant outage that lasted about two hours. Users have begun getting all of the backlog of messages on the Meta-owned messaging software, which is now operational for Android, iOS, and WhatsApp Web. Millions of Indians were unable to exchange messages on WhatsApp earlier on Tuesday due to a significant global outage that affected numerous other countries in addition to India.
As a result of being unable to access WhatsApp and share videos, photographs, and text on the platform, many users resorted to other messaging services like Telegram and even turned to SMS.
“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible,” Meta Company Spokesperson said in a statement.
