Ramgarh, June 26: A wild elephant fell into a well on Saturday night in Hullu village of Gola block under Ramgarh district. After a lot of effort, the forest department rescued the elephant and pulled it out. After the rescue, the forest department and villagers lit a torch and drove the elephant towards the forest.
Wild elephants have been creating a ruckus in the Gola police station area of Ramgarh district of Jharkhand for the last few days. A herd of elephants has been roaming in the area. People are scared about the loss of life and property.
Notably, every year a herd of elephants comes here and creates havoc on a large scale. Many people have already lost their lives due to this. The Forest Department repeatedly keeps trying to drive them out.
Employees of the Forest Department soon realized that an elephant had fallen into the well. After this, the employees of the Forest Department got involved in the rescue operation. The operation started in the morning and somehow the elephant was pulled out of the well by noon. For this, the employees of the Forest Department had to order a JCB machine. A path was made near the well and the elephant came out through this path into the field. After this, the elephant quietly went towards the Sangrampur forest.
Notably, a group of elephants was passing through a field. Notably, it was night time and an elephant fell into the well. Upon realizing what had happened, the forest department employees saw an elephant missing from the herd of elephants. After this, the search for the elephant started.
Forest department employees said, “Around a dozen elephants are in this herd of elephants. This herd was going from Tandil Bisa village towards Hulu village. The forest department team was also running behind them. Meanwhile, an elephant fell into the well. The rescue operation was not started as it was night time. The operation was started early in the morning and the elephant’s life was saved.”
