New Delhi, April 22: Following Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s announcement that he has secured $46.5 billion in finance to purchase Twitter Inc. and plans to launch a tender offer for its shares, the technologist has now stated that if our Twitter bid succeeds, he will defeat spam bots.

“If our twitter bid succeeds, we will defeat the spam bots or die trying!” tweeted Elon Musk.

“And authenticate all real humans,” he said in another tweet.

Last week, Tesla CEO Elon Musk suggested a cash purchase of the microblogging site for $54.20 per share. The board of directors has adopted a new ‘shareholder rights plan’ to thwart Musk’s bid, which is a big blow for the billionaire’s efforts to gain complete control of Twitter.

In filings filed with US securities authorities on Thursday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he’s considering a tender offer to buy all of the social media platform’s common stock for $54.20 per share in cash. Musk, who owns roughly 9% of Twitter stock, would make a tender offer to other shareholders instead of going via the board.
