Ranchi, Nov.13: A woman, having 2-yr-old-son, staying away from her husband and her alleged boyfriend were found lying dead with several wounds of a sharp-edged weapon on their faces near Hulhundu Bridge under Tupudana outpost of Dhurwa police station in the outskirt of the city.
The woman was identified as Puja (21) and the boyfriend was identified as Vivek (20). Both were residents of Shanti Nagar in the same police station area. They had been missing from their houses since Friday afternoon.
Police recovered their bodies and sent them for autopsy at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS). The reason behind the murder could not be ascertained so far.
In-charge of Tupudana outpost, Kanhaiya Singh, confirmed the incident saying the proper investigation has been started in the matter. “Except identification of bodies nothing could be done in the matter so far. We are making all efforts to identify the murderer and the reason behind the murder,” in-charge Singh said.
A locality resident suspected extramarital affairs as the reason behind the incident.
A police official at Dhurwa police station said that it appears that miscreants used an axe to commit the murder.
