Woman dies after Highwa truck hits scooty in Ramgarh

Ramgarh, Oct 18: A woman, who was going to inaugurate her new Scooty showroom near Patel Chowk in Ramgarh, died in a road accident.

The woman was identified as Priyanka. She was going to inaugurate the showroom of EV New and Reforms Electric Vehicle today at 12 noon when she was hit by a Highwa truck. The showroom was to be inaugurated by Giridih MP Chandraprakash Choudhary.

According to eyewitnesses, the highwa crushed Priyanka who was going by scooty. Due to the impact, Priyanka died on the spot.

She was accompanied by a young man who also suffered serious injuries. He has been sent to Sadar Hospital for treatment.

After the incident, the public chased the Highwa and caught it behind Ramgarh College.

The Ramgarh-Ranchi road got blocked near Ramgarh College as a large number of people gathered there.

Police officers including Ramgarh SDPO Kishore Rajak, Ramgarh police station in-charge Sushil Kumar, Ramgarh traffic inspector Harinandan Singh reached there. The police team took possession of the scooty and took it to the police station.
