Noamundi, Oct 8: In a road accident on the Novamundi-Jagannathpur main road, a woman lost her life.
The motorcycle rider was carrying his mother and father to their home in Hatnabeda. During this journey, a dog suddenly appeared in front of the bike. This caused the motorcycle to go out of control, and the father and son fell off a distance away. Unfortunately, the mother lost her life in the accident, and the father and son sustained partial injuries.
The woman was an Anganwadi worker.
Anand Gope, the Block President of the Unorganized Congress Workers’ Union, shared that the incident took place late on Saturday night while the three were travelling from Novamundi to Lakhan Sai on their motorcycles. This occurred near Akhtar Dhaba on the main road to Jagannathpur.
Subsequently, Pramila Devi was taken to Tata Steel Hospital in Novamundi via an ambulance. Due to severe bleeding from head injuries, doctors declared her dead.
