Jamshedpur, June 29: Mystery shrouds the recovery of a middle-aged woman from the foothill of Dalma under Chandil thana area in the adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan district on Thursday.
Identified as Kamla Devi, the woman was found lying near a motel in the foothill of Dalma, about 15 km away from her house in Harharguttu in the Bagbera locality of the city this morning.
A group of villagers had found the woman lying senseless on a culvert and had informed the police who shifted her to MGM medical college hospital.
While responding to queries, the Chandil thana OC said “Though the woman was senseless, there was no mark of injury on her body. We took her to the medical college hospital as she was senseless. ”
But on the other hand, after the woman regained her sense she claimed she had come to visit Dalma Hill along with her brother and brother’s friends who pushed her away from a running vehicle she was aboard.
A police officer posted in Sakchi thana under which jurisdiction the medical college hospital falls said that they are probing into the whole matter by taking the statement of the woman and also her family members.
