Deoghar, April 19: Nine lakh rupees have been duped by the companion of a woman in Deoghar. The woman hails from Hyderabad.
After getting the complaint, the Deogahr police came into action and took the account of the incident from the woman. As she narrated to the police that she had left Hyderbad with a known guy to her for buying an SUV at a cheaper cost from Delhi. Soon the guy was accompanied by three unknown others on the journey. But they did not reach Delhi rather they landed at Deoghar. They told her the city is another PrayagRaj and as the situation is not suitable to move to Delhi they favoured staying the night in a hotel. They came to Deoghar on the night of 13 April.
Lagatar24.com visited the hotel and took account of the incident. The staff of the hotel confirmed that they had checked in the hotel at midnight on 13th April. They had booked three rooms and one of them was in a police uniform with arms and pretended as a police personnel.
He said that the behaviour of the woman was suspicious as she remained confined to her room and she did not even bother to open the door to get room service. According to a hotel staff, the hotel management got a call from Hyderabad on 17th April asking about the woman. After getting confirmation of her in the hotel the caller asked about the number of the local SP but the staff of the hotel could not provide the number. But soon a team of local police came to the hotel and started to enquire. Police scolded the staff for not noting the number of the vehicle on which they came to the hotel. The hotel staff told that the vehicle did not stay at the hotel, so he did not bother to know about the vehicle. Police asked for the CCTV footage.
Lagatar24.com tried to talk with the woman but she flatly refused to have been duped. Deoghar SP Subash Chandra Jatt confirmed the incident and told that the investigation has started. The police investigation will reveal the truth of the story.
