Woman on morning walk dies after vehicle runs over in Bhurkunda

Ramgarh, July 18: An unidentified vehicle rammed a woman near the riverside Bhurkunda OP area in Ramgarh district on Monday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Shakuntala Devi (50), wife of Chandrashekhar Singh.

Shakuntala Devi had gone for a walk around 5:30 am when a speeding unknown vehicle near the Chitragupta temple ran over her. She was taken to CCL Hospital Bhurkunda through an ambulance where doctors declared her brought dead.

Bhurkunda police have registered a case of a road accident and sent the body for postmortem at Ramgarh Sadar hospital.
