Dhanbad July 27: A woman was allegedly beaten up, paraded naked and tied with a tree in a village under the Sariya police station, around 70 km away from the Giridih district headquarters.
The report reaching the Giridih district headquarters said the incident occurred on Wednesday night. The culprits paraded the woman naked in a village and tied her to a tree. Getting information, a Sariya police station team rescued the woman after getting the information at night.
Police in this connection have arrested four persons, including two women accused.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Giridih headquarters Sanjay Rana told media persons that in a love affair issue some persons stripped the clothes of the woman and tied her to a tree.
In this regard, an FIR under IPC Section 122/23 was registered against the accused at Sariya police station and four persons identified as Vikash Sonar, Shravan Kumar, Rekha Devi and Munni Devi have been arrested.
On the directive of the Giridih SP, a team under Saria-Bagodar SDPO Naushad Alam has begun the investigation of the incident.
The report reaching the Giridih district headquarters stated that two youths called the victim woman through a mobile call at around 8 pm and forcibly took her away in a nearby forest where they along with other accused beat her, paraded naked and tied her to a tree.
