Ranchi, April 5: The Ranchi police today recovered three partially burnt bodies of a woman and two children from Bagda forest on the border of Ranchi and Ramgarh coming under the jurisdiction of Thakurgaon police station of Ranchi.

The recovery took place after a villager noticed the bodies which were beyond recognition and informed the police, which sent the bodies for autopsy at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).

Primary investigation suggested it was a case of murder. “It appears that someone killed all the three at another place and then in order to dispose of it set it on fire in the forest to ensure that police do not get any clue,” a police official said.

An FIR has been registered in this connection. Bodies have not been identified so far. Police officials including SSP, SP (rural) and police station in-charge could not be contacted for their comments on the matter.
