Women were told their rights in Seraikela

Two day training program on women empowerment in Murup village of Seraikela block.

Saraikela: A two-day training program on women empowerment was organized on 22nd and 23rd July at Governmentized Middle School located in Murup village of Saraikela block. It was organized by National Labor Education and Development Board (Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India) Regional Directorate – Jamshedpur. The program was inaugurated by the Board’s Education Officer Raj Kishore Gop.

He said that educated and empowered women are the cornerstone of a progressive society. Empowering women in today’s society is the need of the hour. We can imagine a happy and prosperous nation only by increasing the social, economic and political power of women. We will be able to prove the empowerment of women meaningful only when we embody the principle of “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao”. On this occasion, MP representative Jagat Kishore Pradhan said that such programs will create awareness among women and they will be able to take advantage of government schemes. The headmaster of the school Shrikant Kisku said that such training program can prove to be a milestone in making women prosperous. 40 women participated in the program. They will be sent a daily allowance of Rs 500 to their bank account for 2 days by the board. Dharmendra Pradhan, Semal Pramanik, Tara Mahato, Mukta Pramanik, Chandravati Pradhan, Khushi Pradhan etc. contributed in making the program a success.
