World wants to see a stronger India: PM Modi in post-Budget address

New Delhi, Feb 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on Wednesday over Union Budget 2022-23, which was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman yesterday.

Beginning his speech with a reference to the “extraordinary pandemic,” Prime Minister Modi stated that a new world order is emerging, in which many aspects of pre-Covid society will be altered.

“There is a possibility of a new world order post-COVID pandemic. Today, the world’s perspective of looking at India has changed a lot. Now, the world wants to see a stronger India,” said  PM Narendra Modi while speaking on Union Budget.

The Prime Minister stated that being self-sufficient is critical for India as a modern nation. He claimed that the country’s economy is “constantly expanding” in the direction of modernity.

According to the Prime Minister, the Union Budget has received widespread praise, and it aims to expand the various policies that the central government has formulated and envisioned over the last seven years.

“ It is very important for us to make a self-reliant & modern India. This Budget has several important provisions to take India forward in the direction of modernity. India’s economy is expanding continuously due to the decisions taken in the last 7 years,” he said.

“The budget was has been appreciated. Prior to 7 years, India’s GDP was Rs 1 lakh 10,000 crores but today it’s about Rs 2 lakh 30,000 crores. Even country’s forex reserves have increased to $630 billion from $200 billion. All of this due to our govt’s effective policies,” he further added.
