Mumbai, June 28: Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday made appeal to the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs to come back and engage in discussion to settle their differences. Thackeray issued the appeal hours after a brash Eknath Shinde, the leader of the uprising and the claimant of the support of almost 50 MPs, announced that his side would soon return to Mumbai in preparation for a potential floor test and that no MLA is suppressed here.
“You (the rebel MLAs) have been stuck in Guwahati for the last few days. Every day new information is coming forth about you… many of you are in touch with us and you are still in Shiv Sena. Some family members also contacted me” he said.
“Don’t fall prey to any missteps… the honor given to you by Shiv Sena cannot be found anywhere,” he added.
“If you come forward and speak we will sort out the issues. As Shiv Sena party chief and family head, I am still worried about you. Come here for a dialogue,” CM Uddhav Thackeray further added.
Eknath Shinde announced his camp’s return to Mumbai earlier today while leaving the Radisson Blu, an upscale hotel in Guwahati, Assam, which is governed by the BJP.
