Tezpur, Feb 12: The wreath-laying ceremony of the seven army personnel, who died after getting hit by an avalanche in the Area of Kameng Sector Arunachal Pradesh, was performed in Tezpur Air Force Station today in the morning.
Havaldar Jugal Kishore, Rfn Arun Kattal, Rfn Akshay Pathania, Rfn Vishal Sharma, Rfn Rakesh Singh, Rfn Ankesh Bhardwaj and General (TA) Gurbaj Singh of Indian Army were struck by the avalanche in the High Altitude Area of Kameng Sector in Arunachal Pradesh on 6 February 2022. They were a part of a patrolling squad.
The Indian Army confirmed their death on February 8 after retrieving their bodies from the avalanche site.
