XLRI joins hands with Coal India Limited for customized training on HRM

Jamshedpur, March 24:  XLRI has joined hands with Coal India Ltd ( CIL ) for a Human Resource Management ( HRM ) customized training program.

The B-school recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Coal India Ltd to strengthen the academia-industry interface and relationship between the two esteemed institutions.

Fr. Paul Fernandes, director of XLRI and  Vinay Ranjan, director (P&IR) of Coal India Ltd. signed the MoU.

As a part of the MoU, XLRI will offer a customized training program on Human Resource Management to the CIL officers to help them hone their leadership & management skills.

Around 500 executives nominated by Coal India’s HRD Department will be a part of this programme which will be hosted at the XLRI Jamshedpur campus in different phases.

The first cohort of this corporate training programme will begin in April.

“As a thought-leader in HR, XLRI accepts requests from organizations for conducting customized training programmes for their executives at different levels and offers unique programmes to suit the business and developmental needs of client organizations. I am happy to have joined hands with CIL and we will together work on building a strong academia-industry interface”, said Fr. Paul Fernandes, director of XLRI.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Ashish K Pani, Dean – Academics, XLRI said, “Getting employees exposed to relevant and consistent training will help companies improve their performance and increase results in the workspace. This program will help in skill enhancement & drive better results.”
