Ramgarh, April 19: A young man named Sagar, a resident of Giddi Main Gate, committed suicide by hanging himself late Monday evening.

On receiving the information, Giddi police arrived on the scene and removed the youth from the gallows. They then transported him to Giddi Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Sagar was the grandson of a retired CCL employee Ramjeevan Singh. Ramjeevan’s daughter Anju, together with her son Sagar, lived in the nearby quarters in Giddi, according to colony residents. Vikas Singh, the youth’s father, works as a driver.

The ancestral home of the deceased youth is the Akhaura Kala of the Itkhori police station area. The young man was a B Tech and was currently working from home.

According to information, Anju and Ramjeevan Singh had gone to their respective villages for a few days leaving Sagar alone at home.

Colony residents said that Sagar’s mother dialled the young man’s phone number but he did not answer. Then she asked the help of her neighbours to figure out where Sagar was. After that, someone noticed him hanging from the ceiling of the quarter with the help of a fan. The news quickly circulated across the colony. The reason behind the hanging of the youth is not yet known.
