Youth killed in broad daylight at Ranchi outskirts

Ranchi Sept. 4: In an incident of broad daylight firing in the Jharkhand capital, a 34-year-old youth Abhishek Singh was shot dead near Boreya High School under Kanke police station area.

It was getting around 10:45 am when the incident took place.

S.P(rural) Naushad Alam confirmed the incident saying the reason behind the incident was a dispute over the parking of a truck.

He said beside Singh his relative also sustained bullet injuries. Probed further he said details are being collected.

A locality resident said Singh was taken to RIMS in a critical condition where he died during treatment.

A forensic science laboratory team has reached the spot and has started checking the digital video recorder of CCTV. Police have recovered 3 rounds of the used cartridges from the spot.

A Kanke resident said Singh used to take care of Shivam Shahil Constructions, a construction company of his sister, Rinku Devi.  His brother-in-law Shailendra Kumar alias Chhotu Singh is an employee of the Central Institute of Psychiatry.
