Jamshedpur, July 15: A gang of armed criminals stormed into a house and fired shots at a youth in Railway Traffic Colony near Lal Building Chowk under Bagbera thana area past midnight.
While the gun-shot attack took place, the victim identified as Kundan Singh was in deep slumber.
The attackers who were about eight in number pumped three shots into the victim while he was asleep.
Immediately after the criminals had left the spot, the anxious family members rushed Kundan to Tata Main Hospital where he is struggling for his life.
According to sources, one of the attackers was identified as Ramesh Singh who had old enmity with the gun-shot victim.
Sources said Kundan Singh has always a dubious background and was lodged in jail a year ago.
Police had rushed to the spot soon after getting the information and are now trying to trace out the attackers.
