Zonal IG Suspends Argora Police Station In-Charge Over Custodial Assault Case

Ranchi: Zonal IG Manoj Kaushik has suspended Argora Police Station in-charge Brahmadev Prasad with immediate effect following allegations of custodial assault at the station.

Action Taken After Assault Allegations

Sources revealed that a few days ago, a youth was allegedly beaten while being held in the Argora police lock-up. The incident prompted swift departmental action, leading to the suspension of a sub-inspector by the SSP.

Inspector Suspended After IG’s Review

A separate report concerning Inspector Brahmadev Prasad was sent to the Zonal IG. After reviewing the findings, IG Manoj Kaushik took decisive action, suspending the officer to ensure accountability within the force.
