New Delhi: In a massive drug bust, authorities have seized synthetic drugs worth ₹1,814 crore from a factory near Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The joint operation, conducted by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Delhi, resulted in the arrest of two individuals involved in the illegal drug trade.

The seized MD drugs (methylene-dioxy), synthetic substances known for their stimulant effects, were recovered along with raw materials used in their production.

Law Enforcement’s Major Victory

Gujarat Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi praised the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies, announcing the successful operation on social media. “Kudos to Gujarat ATS and NCB (Ops), Delhi, for a massive win in the fight against drugs! Recently, they raided a factory in Bhopal and seized MD and materials used to manufacture MD, with a staggering total value of ₹1,814 crores,” he shared.

Details of the Seizure

The raid targeted a factory located near Bhopal, where authorities discovered a large quantity of synthetic MD drugs and raw materials used in drug manufacturing. The operation highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat the rising threat of drug trafficking in India.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to dismantle the broader network involved in the production and distribution of these illegal substances.
