Daltonganj, Feb 10: A private hospital for children named Vinayak Advanced Child and Neonatal Care Hospital has come up at Jail Hata in Daltonganj.

In the hospital, a 15-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and 5-bed paediatric intensive care unit have been started today.

Giving this information paediatric Gaurav Vishal said, “We are trying to provide state of the art treatment for children here up to the age of 12. We have seen how children here are rushed to Ranchi, Patna and Varanasi for better treatment.”

Vishal said, “We have an advanced pathology centre too which is handled by MD (pathologist) Dr. Shweta Shekhar.”

There is also a facility of ‘Kangaroo mother care’ where a mother can breastfeed her infant in peace and privacy.

Reminded that a hospital loses its sheen for poor laundry facility, Vishal said that the hospital has a big laundry and it will be no problem.

The chief of the hospital B S Pandey, a retired army engineer said, “Our motto is to serve the children and their parents here.”

OPD, X-ray facility and pharmacy will also be available here soon.
