Chandigarh: A 22-year-old man named Karan was brutally assaulted and stabbed to death in the heart after being dragged off a running motorcycle in a busy market area in Patiala, Punjab. The shocking incident, which took place on Friday evening in the Ablowal area, was captured on CCTV, highlighting the viciousness of the attack.

The CCTV footage shows Karan riding pillion on a motorcycle when a group of three men on another bike overtakes him and drags him to the ground. The attackers can be seen pushing Karan against an oncoming motorcycle, believed to belong to their accomplices, before launching a brutal assault. Karan is stabbed in the chest but manages to flee the scene briefly before succumbing to his injuries.

The attack occurred while Karan was on his way to his house in Babu Singh Colony. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but tragically died due to excessive blood loss, police said.

“Karan was surrounded by men on two motorcycles, who then assaulted him and stabbed him in the chest. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he could not be saved due to significant blood loss. A case has been registered, and the attackers have been identified as Ansh, Amanmeet, and Yuvraj. They will be arrested soon,” said a senior police official.

Initial investigations suggest that personal enmity may have been the motive behind the brutal attack, according to police sources.

The disturbing crime has sent shockwaves through the local community, with authorities pledging swift action to bring the perpetrators to justice.
