Ranchi, Dec 21: Hundreds of students of Gossner College locked down Ranchi University for 2 hours and demonstrated in front of the university for not sending the marks of 250 students to the university under the leadership of Inderjit Singh, state vice president of Jharkhand NSUI (National Student Union of India).

After which the delegation of NSUI and the students were called by the Vice-Chancellor to hear the matters.

Vice-Chancellor of Ranchi University Kamini Kumar assured the students and said that all the students whose marks have been missed should be asked by the college management along with the complete list which will be verified and marks will be added.

After which Controller of Examinations Ashish Jha immediately called the principal of Gossner College and asked to send the marks of all the students together with the details to the university by tomorrow.

When the students went to meet the principal of Gossner College he said that he won’t provide the marks until the University demands it in writing.

Upon which State Vice President Inderjit gave a 48-hour ultimatum that if the college does not send the marks, then the college will be locked down. Also if the University does not accept the marks after sending the marks, then again the lockout and demonstration will be done in the university.

The students of Gossner College of 1st, 2nd and 6th semester of graduation who appeared in the examination and had also paid the examination fees have not received their results due to the negligence of both College and the University.

The backlog of more than 250 candidates has not been cleared even after appearing in the examination because the marks of these candidates were not sent by the college management within the prescribed time.

Under the pressure of NSUI, when the college management sent the marks of a few students, the University refused to accept the marks.
