36th National Games: Jharkhand’s Lawn Bowls team wins three medals

Ranchi, Oct 1: The Lawn Bowls team from Jharkhand, which comprised of Lovely Chaubey and Rupa Rani Tirkey who won gold at the recently held commonwealth games, has performed well in the 36th National Games as they managed to win three medals overall on Saturday.

The team managed to get one gold, one silver and one bronze.

Notably, the women’s four teams comprising Rupa Rani Tirkey, Lovely Chaubey, Kavita Khalkho and Arju Rani defeated Assam 23/10 to win the first gold for Jharkhand.

In the women’s singles, Delhi’s Sayista defeated Sarita Tirkey 21/17 and she had to settle for a silver. In the men’s triple, Chandan Singh, Abhishek Lakra and Prince Mahto defeated Delhi by 23/10 to win a bronze.
