37 new Covid cases reported in India

New Delhi, Oct 20: Data published on Friday by the Union Health Ministry shows that there have been 37 new coronavirus infections in India, with 302 active cases.

The data updated at 8 am indicates that the death toll has reached 532,038, with the country’s COVID-19 case tally standing at 4.49 crore (449,99,765).

According to information available on the health ministry’s website, the count of individuals who have successfully recovered from the disease has risen to 4,44,67,425, resulting in a national recovery rate of 98.81 per cent.

The case fatality rate is reported at 1.18 per cent.

As per information from the ministry’s website, a total of 220.67 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been given in the country thus far.
