Ranchi, Jan.31: Around 38,000 advocates across the state will keep themselves away from judicial work on Tuesday, February 1, to protest against the attack on Jharkhand State Bar Council member Hemant Shikarwar on January 29 in Hazaribagh.

Keeping themselves away from the judicial work, a section of the state bar council members will visit Hazaribagh to meet the injured advocate Shikarwar and police officials to ensure proper action against those involved in the attack.

Apart from this, the bar council members will also meet administrative officers of the high court to ensure that police take proper action.

Media-in-charge of council Sanjay Vidrohi informed this saying that the decision was taken on January 30 in an emergency meeting.
He said after February 1 when the advocates will start working they will put black ribbon on their dress to mark their protest against the attack on advocates and mount pressure on the state government to enforce the Advocate Protection Act.
