Andaman and Nicobar, Aug 18: The Andaman Sea was struck by an earthquake on Friday with a Richter scale reading of 4.3, the National Center for Seismology stated.
The tremors occurred at 12.07 pm on Friday.
The earthquake was registered at a depth of 10 kilometres, according to NCS.
“Earthquake of Magnitude:4.3, Occurred on 18-08-2023, 12:07:36 IST, Lat: 9.43 & Long: 94.20, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Andaman Sea,” the NCS posted on X, formerly Twitter.
