The Secretary of State Anubandhit Para Chikitsakarmi Sangh, Naveen Gupta, informed this saying with the hospitalisation of four, number of paramedics sitting on hunger strike reduced to 17 from 21.

“The government is so reluctant to turn up for dialogue that it did not spare even an ambulance to send our colleagues to hospital. We have to send two of the four of our colleagues on auto rickshaws as the government showed reluctance in sending ambulances,” Gupta said.

Meanwhile, political party leaders have started extending their moral support to the agitating paramedics. Among those noticed at the agitation venue near the Raj Bhawan was Congress legislator Irfan Ansari. Earlier, BJP Rajya Sabha Member Deepak Prakash, BJP legislators Samri Lal and C.P.Singh were also noticed at the venue.
