Ranchi, Oct.18: As many as 61 Jharkhandi labourers have returned from Himachal Pradesh so far after their clash with local labourers in Kinnaur district of the state. All those returned are residents of Khunti, Torpa, Bandgaon and other areas of Jharkhand.
They were working for Rathi Hydroelectric Power Project Private Limited. After their clash with local labourers a few days ago, they urged Chief Minister (CM) Hemant Soren for their safe return. Now, on CM’s initiative, process of their safe returning is going on.
Salaries of the laboureres are being transferred in their accounts and the state is regularly in touch with Dharmendra Rathi, the chief of power company.
A group of 150 workers from Khunti and adjoining districts had gone to Kinnaur where some of them were beaten up resulting in serious injuries to a few. An FIR was registered there without mentioning the reason for the assault.
