Vendors’ meet held at NTPC Coal Mining headquarters

Ranchi, Oct.28: As part of the ongoing observation of Vigilance Awareness Week at NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters from October 26 to November 1, 2021, an online Vendor Meet was organized on October 27. The vendor meet was attended by senior officials, vigilance department officials and vendors from NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters & Projects.

At the outset, participants of vendors’ meet were welcomed by Partha Mazumder, Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining). During his address to the participants, he appreciated the efforts of SSC-C&M department for organizing the virtual meet in view of COVID guidelines. S K Ray, Head of Project, Taliapalli and Shivam Srivastava, Head of Project, Dulanga Coal Mining project were present during the meet.

On the Vigilance Awareness week celebration, regional executive director (coal mining) Mazumder called for a collective effort to fight against the menace of corruption. He added NTPC has completed more than 45 years and “Integrity” has been the Core Value of the organization.

On the occasion, he shared about the operation of NTPC Coal Mining Projects and apprised that the business of coal mining operation will witness growth with time therefore vendors should actively participate in NTPC tenders with focus on quality, optimal cost, and meeting deadlines. He reiterated that vendors are regarded as partners and requested vendors to make it an interactive and learning session during the vendor meet.

The inaugural address of the vendors’ meet was given by R C Majhi, AGM(SSC-C&M). During the meet, the presentation was given by Pranay Sharma, Sr. Manager (SSC-C&M) and Awanish Kumar, Sr. Manager (SSC-C&M) about the recent procurement policy developments in NTPC including various online initiatives adopted by NTPC.

The queries raised by various vendors were also replied suitably by NTPC officials at the end of the presentation. The event saw a huge participation with more than 69 participants. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks given by Kumar Sudhakar, AGM(C&M).
