Wife of retired IPS officer commits suicide in Ranchi

Ranchi, June 7: Retired IPS RK Dhan’s wife, Norila Navrangi Dhan (65), has committed suicide.

 

Death took place in the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday at RIMS where Dhan’s wife was admitted after it was realised that she had consumed poison.

 

She was noticed lying in the washroom of her house at Siron Toli under Chutia police station area.

 

Police started investigation into the matter, a person close to Dhan’s family said.

 

The Officer in charge of Chutia police station, Venkatesh Kumar, however expressed his inability to give any statement in the matter saying he was yet to receive any information in the matter.

 

The reason behind the suicide is yet to ascertained.
