Ranchi, June 8: The PMLA court of AJC Prabhat Kumar Sharma today extended the judicial remand of the suspended senior bureaucrat of Jharkhand state, Pooja Singhal, till June 22.

The development took place after she was produced before the court online after the completion of her 14 days of judicial custody.

Singhal had been arrested by the ED on May 11  in connection with a money laundering case linked to alleged embezzlement of MGNREGA funds in Khunti district of Jharkhand. The ED arrested her after interrogating her for two consecutive days. The agency had produced her before the special PMLA court and took her into custody for five days from May 12, which was later extended to May 25.

She was arrested following raids by the ED across several locations in four states. The agency had reportedly recovered Rs 17 crore from the residence of her chartered accountant Suman Singh.
