Ranchi, June 21:  Slippers, shoes, and stones, as well as used cartridges, an iron pipe, an iron ladder and bamboo are among the items seized by police following the June 10 violence that erupted during a protest march organised by a section of the Muslim community to condemn derogatory remarks made by suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma.

While 10 used cartridges of various bores, two iron ladders, six iron pipes, 20 pairs of slippers, over 400 red stone, and over 50 bamboo and sticks were seized from Hanuman Mandir and adjoining areas, 90 pairs of slippers, 575 pieces of stone, 15 bamboo sticks, four green cotton flags, and four black cotton flags were recovered from the taxi stand, according to a police official.

Aside from that, police have discovered 28 used cartridges from a stretch of road between Taxi Stand and the Daily Market police station, according to a police official.

Preparing a seizure list, according to a senior police official, is part of a police exercise to assure the conviction of individuals involved in the violence. All of the items taken from the sports would aid in the prosecution of people who have filed more than 25 FIRs against him at various police stations.
