Daltonganj, July 2: Chatra BJP MP Sunil Kumar Singh has asked Palamu DC Shashi Ranjan and Civil Surgeon Palamu Dr Anil Kumar to make sure that the agency entrusted to set up the medical O2 (oxygen) plant one each at Lesliganj (Nilamber Pitamberpur) community health centre and Panki community health centre be not paid till the completion and start of the said plants.
Speaking to lagatar24.com today, the Chatra MP said that he had this information that the agency was trying to get paid without installing the O2 plants at both sites.
“Stop making any payment to the agency,” reiterated the Chatra MP.
He said that the agency is simply dragging on the work and its intention is not above board.
The MP said that he has given Rs 1.10 crore of the government fund from his MP local area development scheme.
The medical officer in charge of the Lesliganj CHC Dr Rajiv Ranjan informed that the agency has done some civil works like it has made the floor on which the O2 plant will be installed and over head shed of the corrugated sheet.
Installation, testing, mock drilling of the O2 plant at Lesliganj is a far cry now.
DC Shashi Ranjan said, “We sent the agency a couple of letters threatening it with putting this agency in black list have also not brought in any desired change in its attitude towards completing the O2 plant either at Lesliganj or at Panki.”
The DC admitted that this agency pops up and disappears off and on.
Civil surgeon Palamu Dr Anil Kumar said he has asked his medical officers in charge of the community health centres at Lesliganj and Panki to be extra cautious and assertive in getting this O2 plant installed at both the community health centres.
