Ranchi, July 2: In protest against the murder of Kanhaiya Lal at Udaipur in Rajasthan, the shopkeepers in Pithoria, a place adjacent to the capital Ranchi, kept their stores closed on Saturday.
Medical stores were exempted from the closure. Major impact was noticed from Pithoria Chowk to Kisan Chowk, which wore almost a deserted look.
Protesters also organized a prayer meeting and prayer for the peace of the departed soul of the late tailor who fell prey to Islamic terrorism. The meeting was organized at a hillock in the locality.
Protesters also handed a memorandum to the police station in-charge demanding proper action against those responsible for the killing.
A tailor was brutally murdered in Rajasthan four days ago. Riaz and Mohammad Ghouse killed the tailor by slitting his throat. After this, while sharing the video, both of them claimed the responsibility saying the action was taken against the insult of Islam. They also threatened the same action against those insulting Islam.
