Daltonganj, July 4: A total of seven people have tested Covid positive in two districts Palamu and Latehar.
According to the Palamu district epidemiologist Dr Anup Kumar Singh, four people have tested Covid positive in the district.
Out of the four cases, two have been found in the Chainpur block and two in the Medinirai municipal corporation area. One of the four cases is a woman. All the persons are recipients of two doses of Covid vaccines.
The affected persons are undergoing treatment in home isolation and are asymptomatic.
Meanwhile, in the Latehar district, there are 3 Covid positive cases.
According to Ved Prakash, the district data manager of Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, Latehar all three Covid cases have been found in only one block Chandwa.
“One of the 3 cases is our Sahiya. She is not only a two dose beneficiary but this Sahiya has had her precaution dose as well,” said Ved Prakash.
The other two Covid positive patients have also taken their two doses of Covid cases. All three persons are in home isolation.
Palamu Civil Surgeon Dr Anil Kumar repeated his appeal to people not to ignore Covid appropriate behaviour, warning that the comeback of Coronavirus will be harmful to individuals, society and the nation.
Similarly, Latehar Civil Surgeon Dr Haren Chandra Mahto said, “We have been persuading people to follow norms of Covid prevention but people are just unmindful of their own health safety.”
