Jamshedpur, July 7: The sensational murder of Kanhaiya Singh in Adityapur seems to be a repetition of infamous quadruple murder committed by Chaitali-Rizean in Ghorabandha under Govindpur thana area of the steel city three decades ago.
Though the SIT investigating into the Kanhaiya Singh murder case is yet to confirm about a breakthrough in the case, the information filtering down from the police circle suggest the gruesome killing was conspired no else than the murder victim’s daughter only.
From the investigation which is in a final stage it is learnt that Kanhaiya Singh’s daughter Arpana Singh conspired the murder along with her boyfriend by taking the help of a couple of shooters.
The murder victim who was brother-in-law of former legislator Arvind Singh must have come in the way of the love affair of Arpana and hence she removed the obstacle.
According to sources, Arpana and her boyfriend are in police custody along with two-three other suspects and are being interrogated in a police station away from the Adityapur thana.
Seraikela-Kharsawan SP, Anand Prakash, said they are likely to hold a press conference over the breakthrough in the Kanhaiya Singh murder case on Thursday evening or tomorrow.
But the SIT chief, SDPO (Seraikela) Harbinder Singh claimed that no breakthrough in the murder case could be made yet. He pointed out they are just interrogating several suspects only.
Kanhaiya Singh (52), who was a civil contractor, was gunned down by three assailants at his apartment in Hari Om Nagar under Adityapur thana area on June 29 night. Kanhaiya Singh was attacked soon after he had allowed his bodyguard to go home.
Ever since the murder took place, the Seraikela-Kharsawan police was under tremendous pressure as the former legislator was trying to put it in poor light.
Significantly, three decades ago Chaitali Bishwas had conspired the murder of her parents and two siblings with the help of her boyfriend Rizwan at her house in Ghorabandha under Govindpur thana area. The love birds had put the bodies of the murder victims in the septic tank of the house.
